Perched above the Dallas city skyline rests The House, an exclusive and luxurious high rise in the heart of Victory Park. Our talented dynamic duo, Josh De La Fuente and Elizabeth Lewis recently designed a long time Cantoni client’s 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom unit at The House, which not only offers top notch amenities but is also within walking distance to shopping, fine dining, as well as concerts and sports games at the American Airlines Center.
Living the high life definitely has its perks, but as designer Elizabeth notes, “One thing we find when furnishing high rises is that many rooms tend to be connected in one large space…having said that, this can be challenging because you don’t want everything to be one color; each piece of furniture needs to have an importance.”
If you’ve ever faced this challenge, you will definitely want to read the tips below straight from the dynamic duo themselves!
Tips:
Balance: It’s all about striking a balance between functionality and style. (In this case, the duo combined comfort with a modern style).
High Drama Effect: One of the main perks of living in a high rise is the panoramic views. Choose pieces with impact that accentuate those beautiful views.
Textures: Go for looks that combine the right balance of fabric, leather, glass, and wood.
Pop of Color! Create focal points in each room through the use of color. (The duo selected to add a pop of color through accessories and smaller pieces of furniture in turquoise and orange as well as paint the walls to brighten/freshen up the space.)
