Awe-Inspiring Accent Walls

Accent Walls

“Accent walls are a great way to take a room to the next level without overdoing it.” –Kyle Spivey, Cantoni LA

We couldn’t agree more with Cantoni LA Designer, Kyle Spivey. In today’s post, we are featuring five fabulous and inspiring accent walls from our talented designer’s projects. Ranging from a simple coat of paint to a giant custom textured wall, these accents have it all.

aw-ksud “Accent walls serve multiple purposes!  They’re an awesome way to highlight art, a great example being the black wall in the 1010 Midtown unit, marrying a dark tone with the pop of color from the tree art. Accent walls can also serve as a backdrop for creative textured finishes like Italian plaster works, wallpapers, etc.  They often offset a room, defining the space and creating a larger feel.” –Kohl Sudnikovich, Cantoni Atlanta.

aw-duo “The  home owner’s daughter had seen a room in a magazine with a similar look and we wanted to recreate it for her. This is not a true bedroom in the home’s floor plan but by doing a big focal wall like this it makes the room look more like it was meant to be a bedroom. Also the drama of a pattern like this makes such a statement and you can’t pull it off just anywhere. Simple white glass, lacquer, and turquoise velvet made it all come together.” –Elizabeth Lewis, Cantoni Dallas

aw-rb “The client actually chose this treatment from something he saw on Houzz. I think its fantastic! Reclaimed wood is very in right now and youre seeing it more and more in various applications doors, cocktail tables, dining tables, bars, etc. To see it as an accent wall is something else! What a great focal point . It really dictates the feel of the room without being distracting. Carrying the wood element through on the accent chairs along with the pop of color seen in the red ottoman really plays nicely off of the white lacquer wall cabinet and light stone fireplace. A great warm modern feel .” –Richard Bustos, Cantoni Irvine

aw-ks “Accent walls are a great way to take the room up to the next level without overdoing it. In this space, we wanted to add a little texture to the room so we decided to add these eco-friendly three-dimensional wall flats. These wall flats are fairly easy to install and you can even paint them any color you’d like. So no matter how bold or neutral your paint color, these will definitely kick things up a notch.” –Kyle Spivey, Cantoni LA

aw-sm “Nick, the architect of this home came up with this idea. He saw some of the plastic versions online and wanted to do a higher end version.  He cut each piece out of MDF, sanded it and nailed them with nail gun and then painted them. It gave us this awesome textured effect; We wanted something different that you don’t see everywhere! The feature wall also led us to select the Cattelan white 4-door Labyrinth cabinet in Lisa’s loft area which has same detail on the doors” –Sarah Monaghan, Cantoni Irvine
