Who knew that clipboards could be such a beautiful work of art…?
“I love how it turned out, and I can’t wait to change it again and again! Our goal was to create something slightly abstract that would make people think. I can’t wait to see our clients’ reactions to this mammoth installation and I hope to continue to inspire our customers each time they visit our stores.” – Anne Mancuso, Cantoni Visual Guru
One of our mantras is, “Visit Cantoni often. We’re always changing.” We introduce new and exciting designs continually, but the most dramatic changes at Cantoni coincide with the change of the seasons and the arrival of new items.
In today’s post we wanted to share a stunning wall creation by Anne Mancuso, our Visual Guru at our flagship store in Dallas. The challenge for Anne and her team was to artfully outfit the soaring white wall that serves as a backdrop to our home office collection.
Ironically, Anne didn’t have to look further than her own office for inspiration. Anne keeps a mood board of numerous ideas she finds in magazines and other sources. One of those ideas was a concept that involved using clipboards in an office that displayed artwork albeit on a much smaller scale than what was needed in our home office area. The back wall is 22 feet high, which would require Anne to apply her idea on a mammoth scale.
So, how did she do it? Anne ordered 200 clipboards, and worked with our in-house Graphic Designer, Leah Young, to create her massive display that her team carefully installed over a few days. As you can see, the result is truly impressive and has become a much talked about focal point in the Dallas store.
