Sectionals to Create the Ultimate Space to Unwind

Sectionals are quite possibly one of the most coveted pieces of furniture around. And with so much space to sprawl out and relax, it’s no surprise why. Sectionals also provide plenty of seating for guests, if you’re willing to share. From a design point of view, sectionals help to define an open floor plan and act as a focal point to base color schemes off of. Surprisingly a sectional can fit just as well in a small room as it can in a large, open floor plan. Below, check out how a few of our design consultants decorate with sectionals to discover how you can incorporate a sectional into your own space. And be sure to click each image for the full tour!

In this monochromatic, city chic penthouse, our Atlanta design consultant, Kohl Sudnikovich customized our Laguna sectional to perfectly match the light and airy feel.

At Donna Curry’s luxurious Las Vegas haven, our Orange County design consultant, Terri Mechanic chose not one but two sectionals to maximize her client’s large space and create a grand statement. With a cozy fireplace and plasma TV on one side and expansive views of the mountains, golf course and sparkling lights of the Strip on the other, the mirrored sectionals make it easy for Curry to enjoy both while also allowing for plenty of seating for hosting and entertaining.

In this contemporary retreat, our Houston design consultant Angela Watson selected our luxe Laguna sectional. Not only do its extra deep seats allow for maximum comfort and versatility but it also provides a conversational area –  perfect for the homeowners who come here to entertain and get away on the weekends.

Above the Lowe’s Atlanta hotel, our design consultant Pam Satterly floated the curvaceous and playful Menlo Park sectional in the Piedemont penthouse at the luxurious 1065 Midtown. Not only does its sinuous “S” silhouette offer a unique and contemporary alternative to a traditional L-shaped sectional, but it also helps to anchor the living room and define the open-floor plan.

To achieve the relaxing resort-like feel her clients, Meggie and Andrew Le Shea had been seeking, our Dallas design consultant Elizabeth Lewis incorporated an oversized leather sectional. The buttery, soft semi-aniline leather creates that ultra-luxurious look and feel while also protecting against stains, making it a comfortable and cozy place the couple can enjoy at ease with their two kids.

Dream (Home) Come True - Cantoni

This soaring great room is clearly the centerpiece in this colorful and vibrant Orange County home. Because the space was so open, the room required a sofa substantial enough to act as a divider between the surrounding kitchen, bar, and dining areas. In order to do just that, our design consultant Sarah Buehlman had our Mondrian sectional customized into a massive, U-shaped sectional. And the best part, aside from defining the open space, is that it creates a comfortable area for conversation, never-mind being a conversational piece in itself!
