Bomb Pop Shots by A Beautiful Mess

Remember those delicious red, white and blue “bomb pop popsicles” you used to eat as a child, or for some still do? Well, Elsie Larson and Emma Chapman from A Beautiful Mess took all of the deliciousness of their favorite childhood summer treat and created an adult version with the Bomb Pop Shot recipe! Not only is it a patriotic treat but a satisfactory and fun one too!

Ingredients:
  • spiked hard lemonade (or just add some vodka to taste to regular lemonade)
  • grenadine syrup
  • blue curacao mixer
  • tall shot glasses
Instructions:
  1. Take your tall shot glass and fill the glass 3/4 of the way full with the chilled spiked lemonade.
  2. Tip the shot glass towards you and slowly pour in the chilled blue curacao until it turns the bottom 1/3 of the shot blue. Allow the color to settle for a moment, and repeat the process with the chilled grenadine.

Tips from Elsie & Emma:

“Ideally, you want the curacao and grenadine to hit the inside of the glass before it gets to the rest of the liquid, so if you don’t have much room to do that, start with less lemonade on the next one so you have room. The grenadine is the heaviest liquid, so it will fall all the way to the bottom.”
